The Board of the Maryland Club Yacht Squadron has voted to become a Founding Member of the National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame in Annapolis, Maryland. Maryland Club joins an expanding list of yacht clubs and sailing organizations in the United States in supporting the National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame as it preserves America's sailing legacy and engages the next generation of American sailors.
“Maryland Club sailors have plied the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries since the club’s founding in 1857," said Commodore Benjamin F. Lucas, II. "It is only fitting, then, that the Maryland Club Yacht Squadron sign on as a founding member of the National Sailing Center and Hall of Fame. Like the NSHOF, our members are committed to the support and advancement of yachting, and we look forward to a long and active relationship."
