After successful regional meetings in San Francisco and Berkeley, California, NSHOF's National Learning Math and Science through Sailing Consortium is holding a Regional Meeting in Mystic, Connecticut.
If you are able to attend and have not yet registered, please contact NSHOF Education Director Susan Nahmias - click here.
Friday, March 9 - MYSTIC, CT - Mystic Seaport - 10:30am-2:30pm
The Consortium, initiated by NSHOF in October 2010, has grown to 85 sailing organizations, educational institutions and businesses from across the country, and continues to expand. The Consortium serves as a forum for communication and collaboration to discover, develop and implement new ways to use sailing as a vehicle to meet core curriculum goals, to engage sailing's next generation, to make an important contribution to the national STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) education focus and thereby enhance the future science, engineering and high-tech U.S. workforce.
If your organization or business is interested in joining the Consortium, please send an email to Susan Nahmias for details. Consortium membership is free.
Individuals employed in the STEM disciplines are encouraged to offer their expertise as individual members of the Consortium.
